“The Municipal Corporation has launched a special fogging drive in collaboration with the anti-malaria wing, under the directives of Commissioner Devansh Yadav,” an official spokesperson said.
The operation, overseen by Health Officer Dr Vinod Sharma, focused on dengue hotspots, including Muthi, Janipur, Bantalab, Trikuta Nagar, Shastri Nagar, and Channi.
To ensure the effectiveness of the campaign, the health and sanitation and transport wings of the civic body have deployed sufficient manpower and equipment. Fogging operations are being conducted in double shifts, ensuring the areas are covered twice to eliminate mosquito breeding sites.
Commissioner Yadav urged the public to cooperate by maintaining cleanliness and avoiding water accumulation around their homes, which would significantly help prevent the spread of dengue.
