He directed the concerned officers to ensure that both dry and wet waste from every household and surrounding area be properly segregated at the source.

He emphasised that all collected waste must be loaded systematically into autos for transportation and scientific disposal at the designated waste management sites to maintain hygiene and prevent littering.

Highlighting the importance of preventive health measures, Yadav instructed the concerned sanitation and health teams to intensify spraying and fogging operations in and around the government quarters to prevent mosquito breeding and control the spread of vector-borne diseases such as dengue and chikungunya. He also stressed on the need to identify stagnant water sources, clean drains and maintain proper waste disposal channels to eliminate potential breeding grounds.

A spokesperson said, “The Commissioner reiterated JMC’s commitment to maintaining a clean, healthy and disease-free environment for all citizens and directed officers to ensure that every sanitation worker and supervisory staff performs their duties diligently. He also appealed to the residents to cooperate with the Corporation’s teams by keeping their surroundings clean, segregating waste at home, and reporting any sanitation-related issues through the JMC helpline or mobile application.”
