Jammu MP Jugal Kishore Sharma presided over the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) meeting at Reasi. The meeting focused on reviewing the progress of various Centrally-Sponsored Schemes (CSS) and ongoing development projects in the district.

During the meeting, Sharma took detailed assessment of physical and financial review of all major Centre sponsored schemes going on in Reasi.

Addressing the officers during the meeting, he highlighted that Reasi is poised for holistic development, with new projects on the horizon and pending works being fast-tracked.

He directed officials to complete their targets within stipulated timeframe so that beneficiaries get timely services. He also emphasised on collaborative approach among departments to ensure the timely completion of projects, especially those related to road infrastructure, education, health and engineering works. He highlighted the need for collective field visits by officials and public representatives to enhance public service delivery.

The MP directed officers to adhere to project timelines and prioritise resolving issues raised by DDC chairperson, MLAs, and other members during the meeting. He encouraged the use of modern technology to ensure the saturation of government services. He also stressed the optimal utilisation of resources and urged officers to monitor and follow up on the progress of ongoing development works closely.

During the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Vishesh Mahajan gave a comprehensive presentation on the achievements and progress of various CSS initiatives, alongside the status of key developmental projects being executed across Reasi like Delhi-Amritsar–Katra Expressway, Chenab bridge, Anji bridge and others.

The meeting witnessed participation of DDC chairperson Saraf Singh Nag; Reasi MLA Kuldeep Raj Dubey; Shri Mata Vaishno Devi MLA Baldev Raj Sharma; Gulabgarh MLA Khurshied Ahmed among others.
