Jammu Railway official felicitated by Army Chief

Uchit Singhal, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Jammu Division, is among 16 senior railway officers felicitated by Army Chief, General Upendra Dwivedi, for their outstanding contribution during ‘Operation Sindoor’.

“During the crucial phase of the operation, Uchit Singhal of Jammu Division, Northern Railways, performed dual responsibilities as both Senior Divisional Commercial Manager and Senior Divisional Operations Manager and played a vital role in ensuring smooth coordination and movement of military rail services,” an official spokesperson informed.

In a letter addressed to Satish Kumar, Chairman and CEO, Railway Board, General Dwivedi expressed heartfelt appreciation on behalf of the Army and highlighted the commendable cooperation of Railways. The letter lauded the professionalism and prompt response of officers like Uchit Singhal, especially during high-pressure situations.

The Jammu Division also expressed pride in the service of Singhal and said that along with managing military logistics, he also diligently monitored the operations of passenger trains—ensuring that stranded passengers were transported to safe places during challenging times.
