Congress party leaders on Wednesday distributed cheques as part of the financial aid promised by senior party leader Rahul Gandhi to the children, who were orphaned during Pakistani shelling during Operation Sindoor in Poonch.

In a post on X, the Congress party stated, “Honouring the sacrifices of the families of those affected in Poonch, the J&K Congress team distributed cheques to 30 deserving school-going children at Dak Bungalow, Poonch”.

Party’s UT chief Tariq Hamid Karra led the event in which many other leaders, including Indian Youth Congress president Uday Bhanu, party’s J&K working president Raman Bhalla, AICC secretary Mohd Shahnawaz Choudhary among others were present.
