J&K DGP reviews security situation in Udhampur

The Director General of Police (DGP) was accompanied by IGP, Jammu Zone, Bhim Sen Tuti; IG, CRPF, Gopal Rao; Udhampur SSP Amod Nagpure, and officials from the CRPF and Army.
Prabhat chaired a joint meeting with officers of all forces, reviewing operational preparedness, coordination and the overall security situation. “He interacted with personnel at forward operating bases, appreciated their commitment in tough conditions and urged them to stay alert while ensuring the safety of the local population,” an official said.
Prabhat emphasised stronger community engagement, improved outreach and prompt grievance redressal to enhance public confidence. He also reviewed infrastructure upgrades and stressed on use of modern equipment, better mobility and enhanced use of technology for effective responses.
Senior officers briefed him on the current security scenario, recent developments and steps taken to strengthen inter-agency coordination.
There are reports of movement of suspected terrorists in Basantgarh area after which vigil has been strengthened in the region.
