J&K on Sunday recorded 54 new Covid cases, taking its infection tally to 4,52,955, officials said. Jammu district recorded the highest number of 30 new cases. There are 788 active cases in the UT. As many as 4,47,419 patients have recovered so far. —

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
