“I am shocked to learn that the great percussionist Ustad Zakir Hussain has passed away in San Francisco. His father Ustad Allah Rakha Khan was from a village in Jammu and always cherished his association with the Dogra. I knew Zakir Hussain from the time he was a child,” Singh said.
