The police in Kathua district have recovered 40 stolen and lost mobile phones worth Rs 8.16 lakh in different cases.

“Kathua Police recovered 40 lost mobile phones, including an Apple iphone with purchase value of approximately Rs 8.16 lakh for which missing complaints were registered in various police stations of the district,” an official said.

Kathua SSP Shobhit Saksena along with Additional SP Rahul Charak and other officials today handed over these recovered mobile handsets to their owners after proper verifications. These phones have been recovered by the IT section of the district police by using technical assistance.

These mobile phones have been recovered from different areas of J&K as well as from adjoining Punjab.
