Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today took a pledge for organ donation by registering on the Ayushman Bharat Organ Donation Registry, an initiative by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India.

Representatives from the State Organ and Tissue Transplant Organisation (SOTTO), Dr Elias Sharma, Nodal Officer, Dr Sanjeev Puri, Joint Director, and Irfan Ahmed Lone, Transplant Coordinator visited Raj Bhawan and presented the Lieutenant Governor Sinha with the pledge certificate.

Sandeep Jain, president, and Monika Jain, general secretary of Bharatiya Jain Sangathan, Jammu and Kashmir, were also present during the ceremony.

This gesture follows L-G Sinha’s earlier expression of support for organ donation at a programme organised by Bharatiya Jain Sansthan on January 19.
