Ladakh Member of Parliament Jamyang Tsering Namgyal, who rose to fame following his intense speech in the Lok Sahaba on the abrogation of Article of 370 and Ladakh in August 2019, has been awarded the 2020 Yuvak Krantiveer Puraskar — an award given by the social organisation of the Poornawad Political Science Academy.

The award was presented by philosopher Dr Vidyasagar Vishnu Maharaj Parnarkar at an award function held at Shri Bantara Bhawan, Baner, Pune, on Sunday.

The award is one of the nine awards, including the Asia Excellence Award and Sinyadatta National Integration Award 2019 which Namgyal has received in recent times. Earlier, many well-known personalities, including Devendra Fadnavis, former of Chief Minister of Maharashtra, MP Sau Punam Tai Mahajan, Youth Leader Aditya Thackeray, Jaikumar Rawal and MLA Vishwajit Kadam.
