Ladakh MP Mohammad Hanifa Jan visited Durbuk region to inspect development activities in the region by different departments. During the programme, he interacted with various stakeholders and listened to the public demands at Community Hall, Tangtse. He also visited Govt Higher Sec School, Tangtse, and interacted with the students.

The event was attended by councillor, nominated councillor and locals from villages under Durbuk subdivision. ADC Leh, SDM Durbuk and all concerned officers were also present during the programme.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.
