The Union Territory of Ladakh is participating in archery and boxing in the upcoming Third Khelo India Youth Games 2020 in Guwahati, Assam, scheduled to start from January 10 to 22.

Two sportspersons are representing the Union Territory Ladakh in the Khelo IndiaYouth Games in archery and five in boxing.

Tsering Tashi, District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Leh, said, “ A total of 24 sportspersons of Leh district have registered for the upcoming Khelo India Youth Games 2020. However, only seven sportspersons have been selected.” He further said, “At present, we have national or state-level sportspersons in boxing, table tennis and archery and the tally of national players will soon increase with the establishment of the unit of the Sports Authority of India, which is in the pipeline.”
