Leh Deputy Commissioner Santosh Sukhadeve conducted a one-day tour to Biama village in the Sham region. He was accompanied by Additional District Development Commissioner Sonam Nurboo, Chief Planning Officer (CPO) Tsewang Gyalson and Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD) AG Zargar.

The primary objective of the visit was to oversee the various developmental works being carried out in the village. The DC also convened a meeting with the villagers, headed by namberdar of the village, and had a detailed discussion on the ongoing developmental works. During the tour, the villagers forwarded a memorandum of demands to the DC.

The DC assured that he will hold meetings with the departments concerned and sort out the problems soon.

Councillor, Skurbuchan constituency, Lundup Dorjay; Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Khaltse, Kaneez Fatima; Executive Engineer, PHE, Leh, Kacho Mumtaz Hussain; Executive Engineer, PWD, Khaltse, Thinlas Zangpo among others were present during the meeting.

In addition, the DC also visited the construction site of link road at Skurbuchan village and directed the authorities concerned to process the case as soon as possible.
