Amid anti-terror operations going on across Jammu region, Lieutenant General PK Mishra on Tuesday took over as the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Nagrota-based White Knight Corps of the Army.

Lt Gen Mishra took over the command from Lt Gen Navin Sachdeva, who had taken over the as the GOC last year in January.

White Knight Corps or 16 Corps of the Army takes care of some of the strategic locations including Rajouri and Poonch districts along with Doda and Kishtwar among others that have witnessed terror incidents in the recent past.

An official spokesperson of Army stated, “Lt Gen PK Mishra, took over the command of White Knight Corps from Lt Gen Navin Sachdeva. The Corps Commander urged all ranks to uphold the highest standards of operational excellence and continue fostering peace and stability in the region”.

Lt Gen Navin Sachdeva had recently visited many mountainous regions of Jammu where terror incidents have increased over the past two years. He regularly reviewed the strategic preparations of the troops stationed along the Line of Control and other difficult terrains.
