Jammu, February 6

The local Crime Branch (CB) has arrested a man who allegedly used to dupe people on the pretext of doubling their money in a short span of time.

Acting on complaints filed against the accused, a team of the CB arrested Saddam Hussain, a resident of Kalaban, at present Dharana Channi, Mendhar tehsil, Poonch, from the Bathandi area on Jammu outskirts. Investigation agencies said the accused, along with other co-accused, swindled money from gullible people of Mendhar and surrounding areas in Poonch district and other areas in the Jammu province after inducing and luring them on the pretext of doubling their money within 20 to 40 days and ultimately cheating them.
