Jammu, June 3

The police arrested a man along with a country made pistol in the Gangyal area of Jammu. The police said they intercepted a man roaming suspiciously in Gangyal on Tuesday. On seeing the police, he tried to escape from the spot, but was apprehended by cops.

On search, one country made pistol along with one live cartridge was recovered from his possession. He has been identified as Popinder Singh, alias Kaka of Deshmesh Nagar, Satwari. The police have registered a case and further investigation is on.
