The J&K Police arrested a militant associate in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.

He was identified as Rayees Ahmad Lone, a resident of Gund, Ganderbal.

“As per the police records, he is involved in providing support to the active Lashkar-e-Toiba terrorists operating in the area. Initial probe reveals that the accused had supplied multiple SIM cards to terrorists affiliated with the proscribed outfit,” the police said.

It said he had provided help to a Pakistani militant, who was killed in an encounter in Ganderbal in 2019. — TNS
