Thought-provoking Opinions, Expert Analysis, In-depth Insights and other Member Only BenefitsUnion Minister Dr Jitendra Singh today held a public darbar at Ramban as part of his ongoing outreach initiative to engage directly with people in his parliamentary constituency. The minister interacted with delegations from across the district and gave a patient hearing to their concerns. Many issues were resolved on the spot, while officials were instructed to address the remaining matters in a time-bound manner.
“Among the diverse delegations, a deputation from Sana village sought relief and rehabilitation measures for families affected by recent landslides. Contractors executing works under the district plan, including the District Capex Budget and Jal Jeevan Mission, raised the issue of pending payments for completed projects. Similarly, deputations from Rajgarh and Boli Bazar highlighted the need for timely rehabilitation and protection works in flood-affected areas,” a statement from the minister’s office said.
“Today’s public darbar was held in the wake of recent floods in many districts. Roads and other public infrastructure in many villages have suffered massive damage,” the statement said.
Dr Singh said the administration would identify safer locations for the permanent resettlement of residents in ecologically vulnerable areas.
