While inaugurating the projects, Minister Javed Rana said that the schemes would benefit 15,881 individuals across 2,584 households, covering a dozen villages. He added that the objective of the schemes is to enhance rural drinking water infrastructure for public benefit. Over 2,500 Functional Household Tap Connections (FHTC) will also be provided under the initiative.

The schemes include the construction of four tube wells, two bore wells and four overhead tanks to supply potable water, in accordance with JJM guidelines.

Rana emphasised that the Omar Abdullah-led government prioritises the needs of the people and aims to ensure no difficulty is faced by the public. He praised local legislator Rajiv Jasrotia for his efforts in overseeing the timely completion of the projects.
