Jammu, February 28

A seven-day long Inter-State Competition at the National Integration Camp concluded at Jammu University on Friday. The University of Jammu bagged the overall trophy of the Inter-State Competition.

KK Sharma, Adviser to Lt-Governor was the chief guest on the occasion. He stressed on the importance of national integration camps for promoting the spirit of universal peace, harmony and brotherhood.

Besides, he also advised all e participants to take the message of national integration to their respective states and union territories. The Adviser complimented the organisers of the function for conducting the mega function in a seamless manner and expressed satisfaction that the University of Jammu was attaining new heights under the present leadership.

Sharma was also moved by the greetings of the participants from various states in their mother tongue which itself gave a glimpse of “unity in diversity”, and the existence of this concept had been in India since time immemorial.

The results of the camp were also declared. Participants from Assam, Jharkhand, Tamil Nadu, Orissa, Chandigarh, Gujarat, Jammu & Kashmir, Haryana and Uttarakhand were also felicitated based on their performance. During the mega festival, the contingents participated in the best out of waste, symposium, elocution, group song, group dance, solo dance, solo singing, slogan, drawing, poster making, and rangoli and skit events.
