In a shocking incident, two newborn girl children were found murdered in Mendhar, Poonch, after which the father of the girls has been detained. The incident took place on Wednesday when report of murder of two newborn was received from Chajjla Khani in Mankote.

As pr information, a 26-year-old woman delivered twin girls at her home in Chajjla Khani but soon after they were found murdered. It is believed that the throat of the new born was slit.

Senior police officials of Mendhar reached the spot and started an investigation into the matter. The father, Mohammad Khurshid, of the newborn has been detained by cops.
