The All India Backward Classes Union (AIBCU) today demanded that a special column must be inserted in the Census form to ascertain the accurate strength of the OBCs in Jammu and Kashmir.

A meeting of the AIBCU was held through video-conferencing under the chairmanship of Abdul Majid Malik to discuss various issues. Members arrived at the decision that the AIBCU had already made an appeal to the OBCs of J&K to boycott the Census of 2021 in case there is no column of the OBC in the process.

All participants appealed to the OBCs of J&K not to allow any Census employees to enter their houses if there was no separate OBC column in the process.
