Udhampur, March 13

A man was killed and nine persons were injured after the tempo traveller in which they were travelling skidded off road and fell into a gorge near the Kassal mor along the Patnitop-Kud road in Udhampur district today.

On getting information about the mishap, locals and the police arrived on the spot and started the rescue operation.

The vehicle, bearing registration number JK-14B-2133, on its way from Jammu to the Valley, overturned and fell into the gorge.

The police registered a case in this regard and started investigation. The dead was identified as Rajul Pran Lal Garodia, a resident of Mumbai. — OC
