Jammu: Chief Secretary Arun Kumar Mehta on Monday chaired a meeting to review the condition of the National Highway-44 connecting Jammu and Srinagar. He said action against overloading of vehicles had to be initiated to ensure smooth traffic flow. OC

NPP says it is worst phase of Jammu and Kashmir

Jammu: Taking a dig at the government’s Good Governance Index for J&K, the National Panthers Party chairman Harsh Dev Singh said the UT was passing through its worst phase of “misrule”. There is hardly any sign of governance in the UT, he added.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
