PM Narendra Modi on Monday greeted J&K CM Omar Abdullah on his birthday. Abdullah, who is also the vice-president of the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference, turned 55 on Monday.

“Birthday wishes to Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Shri Omar Abdullah ji. Praying for his long and healthy life,” Modi said in a post on X. Later, Omar thanked the PM.

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari were among those who greeted Omar on his birthday.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
