During the drive, police teams visited multiple vendors, inspected their documentation processes and verified adherence to KYC norms prescribed by the Department of Telecommunications.

Vendors were instructed to ensure that SIM cards were issued only after thorough verification of customer identity and address.

On-the-spot guidance was provided to vendors about the correct procedures for collecting and verifying documents such as Aadhaar cards, voter IDs, and other valid proofs of identity. They were also reminded of the importance of maintaining accurate records and reporting any suspicious activities or irregularities to the authorities.
