Jammu, March 2

PWD casual workers in Leh called off their hunger strike after administration assured them of early redressal of their demands. LAHDC, Leh, chairman Tashi Gyalson informed the workers that the draft ‘UT Ladakh Casual and Other Workers Engagement and Welfare Scheme’ has been forwarded to the Ministry of Home Affairs for further necessary action. Workers are seeking hike in wages among other demands.
