All committee members, including general secretary Sunil Kumar, treasurer Sant Kumar, and members RV Thakur, Kayanaat Singh, Anil Verma, Ankush Pangotra, Tapeshwar Singh, Balbir Singh, Kailash Digra, Sumit Jamwal, Aman Cheema and Yashpal Sharma, endorsed his nomination.
After assuming charge, Rajeshwer Singh, along with the general secretary, treasurer and other committee members, discussed and unanimously nominated Sumit Singh Jamwal as the association’s legal adviser.
Singh said he was committed to strengthening the association, stressing that sport remained one of the strongest means of steering youth away from drugs and other negative influences. He added that many young players across Jammu and Kashmir played tennis-ball cricket only at the local level and struggled to find the right platform.
