Jammu, July 7

Randeep Kumar has taken over as the new Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of Rajouri district. He took over as SSP Rajouri after receiving charge from Amritpal Singh.

Upon arrival at District Police Office Rajouri, Kumar was received by police officials headed by Additional Superintendent of Police Musadiq Basu.

Post joining, Randeep Kumar also met with the police personnel and asked them to continue working with same zeal and spirit.

Many incidents of terrorism had taken place in the district during the last one year. An over ground worker was recently arrested from Rajouri, who was involved in helping the terrorists involved in the June 9 Reasi bus attack in which nine persons were killed.

Amritpal Singh, who was the SSP of the district, has been transferred and posted as Commandant, IR-2nd Battalion.
