In connection with the counting of Assembly votes scheduled on October 8, the randomisation of counting staff for eight constituencies of Srinagar was successfully conducted as per the guidelines of the Election Commission (EC) at the Conference Hall of the DC Office Complex.

The randomisation was held under the supervision of Srinagar District Election Officer (DEO) Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat in presence of election observers designated by the EC for all eight Assembly constituencies of Srinagar.

During the randomization, counting halls were allocated to the counting staff deployed at SKICC for counting of votes for eight Assembly segments. The designated officials were classified into teams, each comprising counting supervisors, counting assistants, and counting micro observers assigned to their respective counting halls.

The third and final randomisation of counting staff will take place tomorrow morning, during which counting tables will be assigned to the officials designated for counting of votes.
