Real Kashmir FC (RKFC) showed tremendous resilience to pull off a stunning 2-1 win over a spirited Sreenidi Deccan FC and win their second successive IFA Shield title here today.

Sreenidi Deccan drew first blood in the 30th minute through their Colombian centre-forward David Castaneda Munoz.

RKFC could not convert their chances, with Thoi Singh missing two sitters at the goalmouth.

Deccan, launched less than six months ago, were on the brink of their maiden title on debut. Only three more minutes and that was it. Instead, it was the Snow Leopards who were rejoicing at the end. In a dramatic turnaround, Franz Gonzalez’s last-minute strike took the match into extra-time. Then Mason Lee Robertson sealed the deal in the 100th minute. — PTI
