Union Minister Jitendra Singh on Thursday announced that the Ministry of Railways would set up an exclusive division headquarters at Jammu.

In a post on X, Jitendra said, “There is a heartening news for Jammu as the Railways is set to set up exclusive Division Headquarter at Jammu.”

He stated that a delegation of the Jammu Chamber of Commerce and Industry, led by its president Arun Gupta, met him with a proposal to set up the Railways Division headquarter at Jammu.

The Minister further stated, “The matter was taken up with Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw. I am glad to share the update that the Railway Ministry has accepted the proposal and initiated the process for the same. PM Modi is personally monitoring the progress of railway infrastructure in J&K.”
