The Leh district administration has notified one more area — Saboo Phu — a hamlet of Saboo village, about 10 km from Leh town, as a containment zone. Measures to contain the spread of coronavirus are afoot after a new case was reported from the village on Monday.

The notification in this regard was issued by the District Magistrate, Leh, on Tuesday. The rest of the hamlets of the village have been identified as buffer zones.

The new case is a Class XII student of Kendriya Vidyalaya, whose grandfather has travel history of Saudi Arabia. — OC
