Security personnel on Saturday conducted a comprehensive mock security drill at the Jammu Railway Station.

On Friday, Anantnag Police, in collaboration with the CRPF, had conducted a comprehensive mock drill at the Bijbehara Railway Station.

According to an official statement, in a “proactive effort” to enhance security preparedness and ensure public safety, Special Operation Group teams of Jammu Police along with Railway Police, Government Railway Police (GRP) Jammu, and the National Security Guard conducted a comprehensive mock security drill at the Jammu Railway Station.

Officials said the exercise simulated real-life emergency scenarios to assess the response and coordination of multiple security forces in handling potential threats.

“The drill aimed to strengthen the existing security framework, ensuring seamless inter-agency collaboration to safeguard critical infrastructure and public spaces,” the statement said.

According to the police, personnel from the Special Operations Group of Jammu Police, Railway Police, GRP, and NSG demonstrated efficient response mechanisms, including evacuation procedures, crowd control, and crisis management.

The drill also incorporated advanced equipment and tactical approaches to effectively address various emergency situations, it said.
