As part ofthe beautification plan, several sheds and benches were installed along the banks of Ranbir canal from Paloura to the Canal road. But a majority of them are in a dilapidated condition and benches have been left to rust. Further, fourlaning of the Jammu-Akhnoor highway has left the area unsuitable for morning walkers. It was high time that the civic body took action.

Confusion at Zebra crossing

The Zebra-crossing road connecting Nai Basti from Jammu-RS Pura road has left people confused. Iron grills have been installed, which has blocked the passage to the zebra crossing. Keeping in view the heavy traffic on the road, it is very surprising that no mind has been applied while installing iron grills.
