Dr Pankaj Biswas, Assistant Professor, School of Physics, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, presented a research paper titled “The structural and spectral study of LiSrVO4:Tb3 phosphor for UV-shifted imaging devices” in the second international conference on recent advances in materials & manufacturing technologies (IMMT 2019), held at the department of mechanical engineering, BITS Pilani, Dubai-Campus, UAE. Delegates from more than a dozen countries participated in the event. During the conference, Dr Pankaj Biswas got an opportunity to interact with leading academic scientists, researchers and scholars from various institutes across the globe.

SC/STs seek V-c’s attention over issues

The Jammu University Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes Employees Association at a meeting held under the chairmanship of its president RL Kaith alleged that Vice-Chancellor of Jammu University, Manoj K Dhar, was not paying attention to SC/ST issues as a number of representations/memorandums was submitted to him in the past one year but they had not got any response.
