The objective of these centres is to provide women with vocational training in trades such as tailoring, embroidery and knitting, enabling them to become self-reliant and generate income through their skills.

Speaking on the occasion, Kumar stated, “The reopening of these centres is not just about skill development, it is about instilling confidence and creating opportunities for women to become self-sufficient. Empowered women are the foundation of a progressive society.”

Prior to the reopening of the Akhnoor centre, LVCs in Poonch and Reasi districts had already resumed operations, witnessing enthusiastic participation from women eager to learn new skills and improve their economic status.
