The J&K Sports Council is likely to resume sports activities at different sports training centres in a phased manner in the Union Territory after the standard operating procedures (SOPs) were listed out by the Sports Authority of India (SAI). However, the sports council and all affiliated sports associations have been asked to implement the precautionary measures. Further, the resumption of the sports activities will be done incompliance with the government guidelines in consultation with the local authorities. Naseem Javed Choudhary, Secretary, State Sports Council, said, “Yes, the guidelines have been issued by the Centre to resume sports activities.”— TNS
