He said to reinforce the importance of proper waste disposal practices, SMC has installed informative signage at strategic locations within the city. “These signs serve as a visual reminder to travelers and transport staff about the significance of responsible waste management and the pivotal role they play in maintaining cleanliness and sustainability,” he said.

According to the spokesperson, the programmes aim to educate participants on the importance of upholding cleanliness standards and promoting a sense of collective responsibility towards preserving a clean environment. “Through interactive sessions and engaging activities, participants will be encouraged to actively contribute to the cleanliness drives and embrace sustainable practices in their daily routines,” he said.
