Security forces on Monday detected suspected explosive material along the tourist hub of Dal Lake here, officials said.

Police detected the suspicious object, connected with two detonators near the Regional Passport Office, Srinagar, adjacent to Ghat No. 12 Nehru Park, at Dal Lake, they said.

They said a bomb disposal squad rushed to the spot and destroyed the suspicious explosive on the spot without causing any loss.
