Security forces have busted a terrorist hideout in a forest area in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, leading to recovery of a cache of arms and ammunition, a senior police officer said on Wednesday.

The hideout was unearthed during an overnight joint operation by police and Rashtriya Rifles in the forest area of Kalaban in Mendhar sector, Senior Superintendent of Police, Poonch, Ramesh Angral said.

He said the search of the hideout led to the recovery of an AK 56 rifle, three magazines, 793 rounds, a binocular, a radio set, a Pakistan-make pistol with a magazine and a solar charger.PTI
