Three-meter testing labs will be constructed at Kathua, Batote and Rajouri, it was decided at a meeting chaired today by Baseer Khan, Adviser to Lt-Governor.

It was also decided to ensure during the meeting that there must be 100 per cent distribution of electricity bills both through physical and electronic means to consumers.

Khan convened a meeting to review the power scenario in Jammu division and implementation of various Centrally sponsored schemes under Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL) projects.

He directed PDD officials to provide uninterrupted power supply during Sehar and Iftar time to people. He also said uninterrupted power supply should be maintained in quarantine centres.

The Adviser said Rs 10 crore would be spent on purchasing new transformers in Jammu division.

It was informed that 100 per cent metering in Jammu city and other areas had been taken up on a mission mode for providing uninterrupted power supply to the consumers.

The meeting was attended by Secretary PDD, M Raju, MD JPDCL, Yasha Mudgal and other senior officers of the department.
