Inspector-General of Police, Jammu Zone, Mukesh Singh on Friday held a security review meeting through videoconference with range officers and asked them to remain vigilant.
Cautioning the officers in view of recent killing of Hizbul Mujahedeen commander, Riyaz Naikoo in an encounter with security forces in Pulwama, a detailed briefing was given to the SSPs, especially of Doda, Kishtwar, Ramban, Rajouri and Poonch, to keep a close watch over the activities of surrendered and released terrorists, overground workers and Pak returnees. They were also briefed on focusing on anti-militancy operation, especially in the areas connected with the Kashmir valley, so that anti-national elements are not able to sneak into the Jammu region and indulge in any sabotage act. — OC
