Two players from the remote Kargil district will represent the UT of Ladakh in National Championship, full-body fighting sport, to be held at Grand Chennai Stadium from December 20.

Mohammad Hassan from Goma Minjeee and Fatima Sugra from Gronguk Poyen in Kargil district have been selected for the national championship. Hassan expressed his concern that till now there was no sponsorship for his travel and other expenses. A total of Rs 37,000 for both the players has become a great concern for them.

He requested Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh RK Mathur to help them. — OC
