Police in South Kashmir's Kulgam have arrested two overground workers (OGWs) of TRF/LeT outfit, the police said on Thursday.

A police spokesperson said during investigation of a case registered under relevant sections at Qazigund police station, two OGWs, namely Altaf Ahmad Lone, a resident of Kachoora Zadoora, and Manzoor Ahmad Bhat, a resident of Nipora, Mirbazar, were apprehended at Ghulab Bagh Qazigund.

“During questioning the accused disclosed possession of arms and ammunition,” the police said. On their disclosure 2 AK 56 rifles, 4 AK series magazines and 79 live cartridges of AK series were recovered.

“The accused were acting on the directions of Pak handler Hamza Bhai and were in process of carrying out terror activities,” the police said.
