Terrorists opened fire at a police post in the Basantgarh area of Udhampur late on Wednesday. No one was injured in the incident.

Police officials said an exchange of fire between the police and terrorists took place near then Sang Police Picket of Basantgarh. The ultras managed to escape under the cover of darkness and dense forest surrounding the area. Officials said additional forces had been deployed to conduct a search operation in the area.
