The Janipur police station registered the FIR against Beera Bibi, a resident of Roop Nagar, based on a court directive. Her husband, Zakir Hussain, an ex-army personnel now working for the postal department, had approached the Special Excise Mobile Magistrate, Jammu, after local police allegedly failed to register his complaint.

In the FIR, Zakir Hussain claims that on March 12, Beera Bibi verbally abused their 7-year-old daughter before threatening him and then physically assaulting him with bricks.

Hussain further alleges that his wife has consistently harassed and tortured him since their marriage in 2015. He claims she routinely creates disturbances at his workplace hindering his official duties. Despite repeated attempts to involve the police, he states no prior action was taken against her.
