The body of a woman was recovered from the Chenab river in Kishtwar district, on Saturday, officials said.

Shareefa Begum, a mother of two, had been missing from her Kwar-Nagsini village since September 18.Her body was spotted in the river near Bhaderkote and recovered by personnel of the State Disaster Response Force.

Police have launched an investigation to determine the cause of her death.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
