The Jalandhar Commissionerate Police has destroyed narcotics seized in 35 cases.The destruction of these drugs took place at Green Planet Energy Plant Private Ltd at Birpind village of Nakodar.

The destruction procedure was conducted by the Drug Disposal Committee, Commissionerate Jalandhar, after the completion of all legal formalities. CP Dhanwant Kaur said the destruction of narcotics aimed to ensure that the seized drugs would not enter the illegal market or be misused in the future. The destroyed drugs included 15.70 quintal of poppy husk, 2.6 kg of heroin, 316 pills/capsules, 6.025 kg of ganja, 10 g of intoxicant powder.

The operation was conducted under the strict supervision of senior officers, including DCP Investigation-cum-Chairman of the Drug Disposal Committee, ADCP, Operation-cum-member of the Drug Disposal Committee, and ACP PBI (NDPS-Narcotics)-cum-member of the Drug Disposal Committee, which ensured that the complete procedure was transparent.
